چکیده

Anaerobic digestion (AD) has become an effective waste management method in the agri-food sector to dispose of livestock and food wastes. As AD becomes more widely used new challenges emerge, such as disposal digestate by-products. Currently, principal for handling solid (SD) is direct application land organic fertiliser. However, grows, this option less viable due nutrition loading on increased eutrophication. This paper explores potential using SD a biofuel source. Additionally, pyrolysis kinetic triplet residual thermal predictions was reported first time Advanced Kinetics Technology Solutions (AKTS) thermokinetics software model calculate activation energy (Ea) other parameters. ASTM-E698, Ozawa-Flynn-Wall differential iso-conversional (model-free) methods were Ea values calculated from each 169.8, 75 – 175.0, 85 190.0 kJ mol?1, respectively. The can be scale-up or designing reactor systems considering feedstock. prediction isothermal indicated that temperature higher than 210 °C required onset decomposition sample. Furthermore, produce additional ~27.9 MJ per day at 500 kW standalone on-farm plant. work highlighted could add revenue stream plants make them sustainable.

Anaerobic digestion of the liquid fraction of dairy manure in pilot plant for biogas production: residual methane yield of digestate.

The performance of the only dairy manure biogas plant in Cantabria (Northern coast of Spain) was evaluated in terms of liquid-solid separation and anaerobic digestion of the liquid fraction. Screened liquid fraction was satisfactorily treated in a CSTR digester at HRTs from 20 to 10 days with organic loading rates ranging from 2.0 to 4.5 kg VS/(m(3)d). Stable biogas productions from 0.66 to 1.4...

The anaerobic digestion of solid organic waste.

The accumulation of solid organic waste is thought to be reaching critical levels in almost all regions of the world. These organic wastes require to be managed in a sustainable way to avoid depletion of natural resources, minimize risk to human health, reduce environmental burdens and maintain an overall balance in the ecosystem. A number of methods are currently applied to the treatment and m...

Application of anaerobic digestion products of municipal solid food wastes in treating wastewaters

Anaerobic digestion is the breakdown of biodegradable organic material by microorganisms in the absence of oxygen or in an oxygen-starved environment. This technology is superior to the landfilling and also the aerobic composting. The aim of the present study was to examine whether the effluent Volatile Fatty Acids from the anaerobic acidogenesis of the food waste can be used du to its high valu...

Modeling of Anaerobic Digestion of Complex Substrates

A structured mathematical model of anaerobic conversion of complex organic materials in non-ideally cyclic-batch reactors for biogas production has been developed. The  model is based on multiple-reaction stoichiometry (enzymatic hydrolysis, acidogenesis, acetogenesis and methanogenesis), microbial growth kinetics, conventional material balances in the liquid and gas phases for a cyclic-bat...

Methane production by anaerobic digestion of wastewater and solid wastes

Anaerobic conversion of organic materials and pollutants is an established technology for environmental protection through the treatment of wastes and wastewater. The end product is biogas –a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide–, which is a useful, renewable energy source. Anaerobic digestion is a technologically simple process, with a low energy requirement, used to convert organic material ...
